ABOUT

Twenty-five-year-old Sully grew up moving from foster home to foster home after his grandmother passed away when he was 12 years old. Sully spent his time watching movies with his grandmother, and as he grew older, he gained a passion for storytelling and started writing short stories. Eventually, he moved on to full-length screenplays after he graduated from high school.

Sully didn’t pursue any post-secondary education. Living in the south end of Dallaway didn’t serve well for someone who was looking for a job. Sully’s dream was to work for the local newspaper and write stories for a living. Stories about the struggles of his community and the class differences that he sees dividing South Dallaway from the North. In the summer after he graduated, Sully jumped into a fight to save his friend from a gang of bullies. The fight got out of hand and Sully knocked three teeth out of one of them. He then spent six months in jail for aggravated assault before his new employer, Dave, bailed him out and paid for all his legal fees.

Looking for work, Sully had wandered into Dave’s garage, who decided to give him a full-time job at the shop. This is where Dave started to look after Sully. Every Saturday night, they get together to play a game of carrom. Dave tells Sully about his past as an infamous cat burglar and how his time at the joint is what pushed him to follow that life; but he doesn’t want that life for Sully. Which is why he got him out of prison before it was too late. Sully learns about Dave’s illness and plans to save enough money to get out of the dying, crime-ridden town before Dave succumbs to his sickness. Sully takes his new father figure's story as a cat burglar to heart and teams up with Lou, who he met at a screenwriting workshop. The two begin to carry out small-time home invasions to get some extra cash. Sully’s been saving up, but not fast enough. Both he and Lou plan their final heist at the wealthy residents of Midnight Boulevard to leave their old lives for good.
