MIDNIGHT BOULEVARD follows Sully and Lou, two small-time home invaders, who plan to break into a mansion owned by a mysterious young widow. as her beauty entrances sully, it also captures the attention of a masked killer responsible for a series of unsolved and ongoing murders.

Dinitha Vithanage

writer - director - producer - composer

Dinitha completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto Scarborough. In his senior year at UTSC, he was awarded the prestigious Abram Krashinsky Prize in Music for Best Original Composition. Following the completion of his postgraduate Music Composition program at Humber College, Dinitha will be returning to the University of Toronto to pursue his Masters in Music.

Outside of his work as a composer, Vithanage is also an independent filmmaker. He is the writer, director, and director of photography of three narrative short films. His latest narrative film, For a Coffin Full of Gold, earned him the award for Best Director and Best Drama at the 20th University of Toronto Film Festival.

Midnight Boulevard is his most ambitious film yet, and his most personal. A passion project that has been with him for the past two years is finally gearing up to start production this summer, thanks to the talented cast & crew who believes in his vision for this exciting new story.

Antoun Takla

Antoun Takla is a filmmaker based in Toronto. He started his career as a technician in New York City where he collaborated with artists such as Calboy, Jay Cristch, and Kaash Page. Antoun developed a passion for telling his own stories while helping upcoming filmmakers produce their projects here at the heart of Toronto. Armed with his extensive technical knowledge and experience, we are proud to have Antoun Takla on board as a Producer of Midnight Boulevard!

Sahil Bhullar

Sahil Bhullar is a filmmaker and producer based in Toronto. After immigrating from India, Sahil made a name for himself by directing and producing over 14 music videos for both Panjabi and Toronto-based artists. With his production company, The Bhullar Films, Sahil aims to help upcoming filmmakers bring their stories to vivid life.

Brandon Worden

Brandon Worden is an award-winning film editor, producer, and colorist based in Long Island, New York. In 2018, he attained his Associate's degree at Sullivan County Community College and went on to achieve his bachelor's at SUNY New Paltz in 2020, where he studied Digital Media Production. During his second year as an undergraduate, Brandon received the awards for Best Music Video and Best Demo "Sizzle" Reel at the 2018 Fisher Film Festival. Later that year, his debut documentary was selected into the Catskill International Film Festival.

Brandon is the founder of Noble Pictures and has been the editor, producer, and colorist behind three short films, four music videos, and two documentaries. He was the editor, colorist, and co-producer behind both the award-winning films The Gun, The Gin, and the Two Masked Men, and For a Coffin Full of Gold, an homage to the spaghetti Westerns. For a Coffin Full of Gold was selected into eleven film festivals, taking home the awards for Best Canadian Drama at the IMDb qualifying Couch Film Festival and at the 20th University of Toronto Film Festival. Brandon's goal is to continue building his career with other creatives while developing his talents to a greater level.

Their son, Shane is also a talented artist. With their very generous donation, we welcome the Rennisons as associate producers of our film. You can also catch Shane perform at local breweries and venues throughout New York.

Marco Lavagnino is an independent filmmaker whose experience can be found in short films and music videos. At the age of eleven, Marco moved to the United States, and it was during these next few years in New York City and New Jersey that his interest for acting and photography grew into a passion for writing and directing.

Jed Montemayor

Jed is a set dresser/production assistant based in Toronto. He completed his bachelors degree in business administration at Trent University. After completing his degree, Jed started his professional career as a finance assistant. During that time, he began to work as an art production assistant under a family friend and since then he has worked with clients such as Vice News, RBC, The Bay, and the LA Clippers.

Prada Faraji is an experimental costume designer who's eager to work in the world of film. She has been featured in Toronto Fashion Week and enjoys working on period pieces and surrealist pictures.

Jacob Sentowski

Jacob Sentowski is a writer, director and editor based in Detroit. Jacob completed his Bachelors Degree at Eastern Michigan University where he majored in Digital Media Production and Cinema Studies with a minor in Management Studies. 

 

With over 7 years of experience in the field, Sentowski has worked on weddings, event videography and has written/directed over ten short films that spanned many genres. In 2019, he founded Sentowski Studios. Jacob hopes to collaborate with likeminded artists and expand his filmography over the coming years.

Yasith Weerasinghe

Yasith Weerasinghe is a director, videographer, and editor based in Hamilton, ON. He is a long-time collaborator of Dinitha Vithanage and is a member of his production company REKAVA. Yasith worked as the 1st Assistant Director in the award-winning short film For a Coffin Full of Gold and numerous music videos that garnered critical acclaim. He is completing a double major in Theatre and Film & Media Arts at McMaster University and is an active videographer covering university events.

Danuka Savinda

Danuka is a creative, friendly and meticulous person who takes pride in setting high standards of his work. He's an adaptable and prudent individual who can adeptly work in a team and alone. Danuka has excellent interpersonal skills and work with due disclipline to adhere to all work standards and deadlines. He has a keen interest in motion graphics since he was 12 and has been continuously honing his skills to become a professional in the work field. Danuka also has other interests in robotics and electronics, which motivated him to self-learn Arduino. He is well-organized and manages his time well, allowing him to work well under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.

Matthew Lisondra

Matthew Lisondra is a filipino writer and aspiring filmmaker based in Toronto. He completed his undergraduate degree in Physics and Mathematics at the University of Toronto - St. George campus. After graduating, he worked as a University instructor for EasyGroup - Lumist, teaching 1st - 4th year students from UCLA, UC Berkeley, UCSD among other Canadian and American institutions. Matthew is currently enrolled in the full time Master of Applied Science - Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering program at Toronto Metropolitan University under the supervision of Dr. Saeedi and Dr. Zareinia with focus in Robot Localization and Surgical Robotics.

Apart from academia, Matthew is also a writer, this year finishing a novel titled "DearBe," which is the story of a race of flying penguins. It is the story of one particular penguin named Be who awakes with no memory, on the surface of a Sun. Matthew writes stories of novels of great loss, the human willingness to persevere and acceptance.

Matthew is an aspiring filmmaker, this year hoping to finish the screenplay for a personal short-film titled Purple, about the hues of his Mother Country, the country in which he came, the Philippines. Different from his novels, Matthew hopes to instill in his films more on the sense of self-origin, people, community and the race each of us is from. He wants to tackle on the idea of where we are all going. In Purple and in future works in film, he wants to create visual spaces that are synonymous to the one word - home.

 

Matthew is currently working and learning alongside filmmaker Dinitha Vithanage on several projects. Matthew is ever inspired by him and hopes to make films of great meaning.

Sasiru Vithanage

A film enthusiast since a young age, Sasiru Vithanage shares the same passion to tell stories as his brother, Dinitha. Sasiru actively helped develop Midnight Boulevard in its early stages before helping to expand its story into a more potent political and social angle. He is acting as an Executive Producer and Production Assistant.

Hayden McIntosh

Hayden McIntosh is an aspiring Academic Advisor and Producer who is a prominent figure in the development of Midnight Boulevard. A childhood friend of Dinitha Vithanage, Hayden spearheaded the initial steps of casting the roles and logistics of the production, along with taking on the role as an Associate Producer. Hayden is excited to help his friend bring his passion project to life and continue to help produce more films in the future.
